An unidentified policeman attached to Central Market, Kubwa on Friday shot a noodles seller on the hand and leg during a service of song held at the market.
The incident which happened in the evening at the popular Central Market in Kubwa left onlookers confused.
The victim identified as Jaminu was immediately rushed to Kubwa General hospital where he is receiving treatment.
Narrating how the incident occurred, one of the friends of the victim who identified himself as Bala said Jaminu left his shop where he sells noodles to buy suya before the police officer who would have normally shot in the air, carelessly shop direct to Jaminu.
Bala said the bullet penetrated Jaminu’s hand and damaged his toes, and he was bleeding uncontrollably.
As at the time People’s Trust visited Kubwa General Hospital, the management of the Market had visited the victim and treatment commenced immediately.
Meanwhile, the Central Market is currently locked down as the friends of Jaminu insisted that the market remained shut until compensation is made to the victim.
