Bala Mohammed, governor of Bauchi, has presented new cars to district heads and local government chairpersons in the state.
The development comes hours after the Bello Matawalle, governor of Zamfara, presented 260 cars to traditional rulers in his state.
Announcing the presentation on his Facebook page on Friday, Mohammed said the gesture was part of efforts to appreciate the recipients for their commitment to the progress of the state.
“I presented brand new official cars to the local government chairmen and district heads across Bauchi State,” he wrote.
“The official vehicles were presented to the beneficiaries in appreciation of their commitment to the progress and development of the state.
“At the event, I also appealed to the district heads to assist my administration in ensuring improved healthcare delivery and maintenance of security, among others—for the state’s rapid development.”
