Barely 24 hours after the abduction of four members of staff of the Auga Community School, Auga Akoko in Akoko North East Local Government Area of Ondo State, the abductors have contacted the families of the victims, demanding N1m ransom on each of the victims.
The victims include: the principal of the school, Mr Joshua Adeyemi, Vice Principal, Mr Ifedayo Yesufu, a teacher, Mrs Oloyede Bukola and NPower teacher in the school, Mrs Adagunodo Funmilayo.
According to a source, the victims were in a Toyota Corolla car with registration no LSD 297 AH when the hoodlums accosted them on the Auga-Ise Akoko road and abducted them into the forest.
The principal’s wife, Mrs Hellen Adeyemi, said the kidnappers refused to negotiate with women but contacted male members of the family who had been negotiating with them.
A member of the negotiating team, Mr Olu Afe, said, “The abductors demanded N1m on each abductees making N4m with some other juicy conditions “
The Divisional Police Officer for Ikare Akoko, Mr Adetujoye Akinwande, said policemen were still trailing the bandits, assuring that the victims would be rescued unhurt.
